Due to uncertainty over the availability of our venue, as well as the rescheduling of the Grand Bend 'Arts Eats and Beats' tour, we are again postponing our youth art exhibition and sale. The new dates are September 11-12, 2021. Registrants should be contacted shortly about the change. Silver lining: more time for new registrants and more time to create!
With the postponement of the Grand Bend Studio Tour, we have decided to postpone our exhibit and sale as well. Keep creating! We'll see you all in the spring!
PLEASE NOTE: THE GRAND BEND ARTS EATS & BEATS TOUR ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR THE BEGINNING OF MAY HAS BEEN MOVED TO SEPTEMBER. IN ORDER TO STILL BE A PART OF THIS GREAT EVENT, WE HAVE RESCHEDULED OUR FREE TO CREATE YOUTH ART EXHIBITION AND SALE TO SEPTEMBER 26th and 27th.
We are calling all artists - it's time to start creating! The 2020 show is getting closer and we want YOU to be a part of the excitement! With the holidays approaching it's a great time to let your creativity flow so turn off the t.v., put away the video games and get painting. Creative kids are NEVER bored!
Our inaugural show was an unqualified success! Follow the link below to see pictures of all the entries, People's Choice Awards winners, and pictures from the event!
https://www.ausableportfranksoptimist.club/free-to-create-youth-art-show.html The show runs this weekend Saturday and Sunday 10 to 4! Here is just a small sampling of the artwork submissions - come and see the amazing work of our young artists! Special 'shout out' to Hillside School staff and students who really got behind this opportunity.
March Break is coming up, what a great opportunity to take time and create an entry! We'd also like you to know that if any student cannot meet the $15 registration fee for any reason, we are able to sponsor registration kits through the generous donations of our members. We do not want financial constraints to prevent any child from participating.
This is open to all youth from 8 to 18. There is no jurying process - every piece will be accepted as long as it does not exceed three feet in width. Artists have the option of selling their work as well. Art will be hung Friday, May 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Submissions may be dropped off at the Port Franks Optimist Centre on that day OR Wednesday, April 17th and 24th and May 1st between 6-9:00 p.m.
